Bollywood is recently going through a debate of inequality in pay. Actors always get paid more than actresses. But here are some instances when the actresses received pay check bigger than their male co stars –

1. Deepika Padukone :- Deepika starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie, Padmavat and Deepika’s character was the central character in it. Which is why, reports suggest that Deepika Padukone was paid more than Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the movie. It is reported that the actress got paid around 12 crores for this movie, whereas Ranveer got some thing around 10 crores and Shahid received 7 to 8 crores.

2. Alia Bhatt :- The whole movie Raazi was upon Alia Bhatt’s shoulder only as the movie was based on the character she played. Alia Bhatt starred opposite Vicky Kaushal and Alia received 10 crores while Vicky was paid around 3 to 4 cores.

3. Shraddha Kapoor :- Everybody loved the horror comedy, Stree, which starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor and in this movie Shraddha was paid more.
